FLORAL PARK FIRE LINES
​The Floral Park Fire Department protects the lives and property of the over 16,000 residents who reside here and anyone that visits our village. On average our department responds to over 1400 calls for service every year both in the Village of Floral Park and surrounding communites.
October 10 2025
At approximately 1115 hrs the Floral Park Fire Department was toned out for a reported basement fire on Charles St. Upon arrival, Chief of Department, Gil Luger transmitted a working basement fire. Engine 125, Heavy Rescue 124, and Ladder 174 from New Hyde Park were first due. Units made an aggressive push into the basement to conduct searches and extinguish the fire. The main body of fire was knocked down quickly and there was minor extension to the first floor. Engine 126, 127, along with South Floral Park unit 181 operated on the floors above. Mutual aide from the Elmont, Garden City, New Hyde Park, and South Floral Park Fire Departments were at the scene.

HANCE DAY 2025
The department took part in the 16th Annual Hance Day Family Foundation 5K. Members of the department who participated ran the 3.2 miles carrying American Flags. The department takes part in many important community events such as this throughout the year. The members who participate in the run increase every year. Interested in being a part of this? APR 16 2025
At 2:17 PM the Floral Park Fire Department was toned out for a report of a building fire at 60 Plainfield Ave. Upon arrival, 2nd Assistant Chief Lauria transmitted a signal 10 for a fire on the 3rd Floor of a 3 story apartment building. Ladder 123, Heavy Rescue 124, and Engine 125 arrived first due and were met with heavy fire in the apartment. A 2nd alarm was quickly transmitted for extension into the roofline parapet area. Units stretched 3 lines putting to of them into operation. The fire was under control within 45 mins. Mutual aide assistance from the New Hyde Park, South Floral Park, Stewart Manor, Elmont, Franklin Square, Garden City, and Garden City Park Fire Departments was given at the scene.
